I know why I connect to McCandless so much. That want for freedom, the ability to not have to depend on anything and not having the need for material living. I’ve never actually wanted a million dollar life. Simplicity works just as well, if not better than material living. But that urge to explore, to surround yourself with a world full of life; that freedom. That’s what I connect with most. I dont wanna be sat in once place all my life. In fact I would rather live a life like Chris’s than not live at all. And I know for as long as I do live, his story will always stay with me
This is so me as well! I only want to live a life that is real, not one that is full with money and false joy. Give me truth.
What I also loved about the movie was that, in the end, Chris learns that “happiness is only real when shared”. That is so incredibly true.
